Barolo is by far the most famous appellation in the area and this example does not disappoint. Nebbiolo shines in this wine with a refined and rich nose showing plums, red fruits and jam, and very elegant notes of tobacco and leather. On the palate, a lovely balance of red fruits, roses and herbs. The wine is aged for 38 months, 18 of which in oak barrels.The tannins are ripe and smooth with a long elegant finish. Ideal with red meat and game, and truffle-based dishes. Excellent value example of this iconic region.
