Arneis is the newly trendy white grape from northern Italy and it's easy to see why: this is scented and approachable, redolent of exotic fruit, ripe pear, hawthorns and acacia honey. Excellent as an aperitif, it is very best served with hors-d'oeuvres and fish and shellfish dishes.
