So, the countdown is on……..we are just 2 weeks away from Christmas. How did that happen?!! We hope you are starting to get into the spirit and looking forward to fun times with friends and family. Star wines from our Grand Christmas Tasting

This year’s Christmas wine tasting was our biggest yet, with 18 wines on show. It was fantastic to see so many of you drop in to try the range. We have a few that were hands down winners with many of you!

When it came to the white wines, the Valminor Albarino from Spain was the favourite. This lovely refreshing and zesty wine, with stone fruits and citrus notes is the flagship wine for the Valminor Estate. It’s £17.95

On the red front, it was a battle between the Maggio Petit Syrah from the USA and the Mariana from Portugal. The Mariana just won the day. This is a vibrant blend of traditional Portuguese grapes. Red berries, some subtle spice and a lovely silky finish and great value at £13.95.

When it came to a dessert wine the outright favourite was the Zuccardi Fortified Torrontes. The only fortified Torrontes from Argentia. Basically, nectar in a glass. Figs, nuts and honey. Wonderful slightly chilled and perfect with Christmas pudding or a cheese board. £21.95
