We have been busy sourcing new lines and we even got to a couple of trade tastings in London in the past few weeks. We have nearly 50 (yes, you read that right) new lines coming in over the next few weeks. We have completely revamped our Argentinian and Portuguese ranges and have some absolutely stunning new wines in! As ever, we have focused on getting the balance between quality and value and are really excited with the new lines we have been able to source.

Grand Spring Tasting – Saturday 16^th March

You will get a chance to try some of the new wines we are bringing in at our Grand Spring Tasting on 16^th March. We will have around 15 new wines on show so it’s a great opportunity to sample them and see what takes your fancy! Like the Christmas Tasting it is not ticketed (free of charge) and you just turn up, grab a glass and a tasting sheet and sample away! The tasting will be on from 10am – 4pm. 

Mother’s Day

It’s Mother’s Day next Sunday, so why not treat mum to a little bottle of something delicious! We have some new Provence rose wines in, as well as lovely new Sparkling wine from Italy (see our recommendation further down to see what that’s all about!). Don’t forget that we also have a few Bin Ends left in our sale too. We are saying goodbye to a few lines so we can make room for the new range. There are some lovely wines available with 15% off!

Al’s recommendation

The Los Haroldos Reserve Limited Edition Cabernet Franc is one of our new wines in from the Uco Valley in Argentina. It was a hands down favourite of some of the reds we have tasted recently. It is beautifully perfumed with lovely peppery notes, rich ripe fruits and slightly herbal. It has spent 10 months in French oak, so has softened and is just a pleasure to drink. It’s £17.95.

T’s recommendation

It’s the Rivani Sparkling Chardonnay! Before you say ‘I don’t like Chardonnay’, then just hear me out! We tried this Italian Sparkling wine out on our guests at a recent tasting in the shop and it got the thumbs up. Firstly, it is fantastic value at £11.95. Second, it looks great and most importantly it is really delicious. It offers a lovely fruity bouquet of apple and citrus fruits and just a little bit toasty too!
